Mr Daniel Davis

Hello, I’m Daniel Davis, a Chartered Physiotherapist and the founder of The Bristol Physio. I help active people and busy professionals get out of pain, recover with confidence, and return to the activities they love — with a clear plan and support at every step.

I have spent the last decade working across both the NHS and private practice, treating a wide range of musculoskeletal problems and sports injuries. I’m experienced in managing lower back pain and sciatica, as well as joint pain and arthritis (including hip and knee arthritis). I also regularly support people through rehabilitation after surgery and major injuries, including total knee replacements, total hip replacements, and ligament reconstructions. 

Before becoming a physiotherapist, I competed as a former Great Britain and England international athlete, so I understand the physical and mental demands of sport — and how frustrating it is when pain gets in the way. I also hold a degree in Psychology, which helps me support the mind–body side of recovery: building confidence in movement, reducing fear around pain, and creating a plan that fits real life.

Alongside clinical work, I’m a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and lecturer, which keeps me grounded in evidence-based practice and clear communication. In appointments, you can expect a thorough assessment, honest advice, hands-on treatment where appropriate, and a tailored rehab plan designed around your goals.
