Very good doctor! He explained everything so I could understand what to expect and what to look for on the MRI scan. The process was brilliant I had 2 consultations and a MRI within 8 days. I went into hospital hardly able to walk as I was in so much pain. I came out a new woman with the joy of walking brought back. I have already walked distances of 3 1/2 miles and I only had the decompression two weeks ago.

I was seen by Mr Brown following problems with walking and also lower back pain and posture issues. I quickly had an MRI scan followed by a review from Mr Brown to explain the findings. I underwent decompression surgery and I can honestly say I now have no back pain, I was able to walk 50m + within 14 days following surgery, my posture has improved and then managed a 4km walk within a couple of months following my surgery, I would certainly recommend friends and family to see Mr Brown in one of his private clinics at the Spire or Nuffield in Cambridge.

When I consulted Mr Brown regarding my Lumbar Spinal Stenosis, he clearly explained my condition and the ramifications of the suggested surgical procedure. My confidence in his abilities was rewarded beyond expectations, and the treatment I received on the day was exemplary, not only from his surgical team, but also from the staff in Ward A3 at Addenbrookes Hospital.

When I first met Mr Brown, he amazed me by walking backwards down the corridor after our initial meeting. He was gauging how I walked! Mr Brown was clear about my symptoms and what could be done in the situation, explaining my scans thoroughly and the implications. He listened well, was patient and answered my questions so that I felt well informed enough to decide how to proceed. The day of admission Mr Brown was friendly and welcoming whilst I waited on the ward and entered the operating theatre. He was also encouraging when I saw him on the ward the morning after surgery. From my first meeting Mr. Brown has instilled confidence in me and all I wanted to do from that moment on was to have the surgery. Seven weeks on, I am very thankful for his skills, professionalism, and capabilities. It has made an incredible difference to my life.

I saw Mr Brown in March 2025 as a private patient at the Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital for chronic back/hip/legs pain. Following a decompression operation thanks to Mr Brown I now have my life back, no pain at all since my surgery, I would absolutely recommend him to anyone, Mr Brown changed my life - I will be forever grateful to him!
