Dr. Colin Johnston

Dr Colin Johnston is a General Practitioner and Medical Director of The Heriot Clinic in Edinburgh. He has been a GP Partner in NHS practice since 2010 and has extensive experience across general practice, with a strong emphasis on continuity of care and building long-term therapeutic relationships with patients.

His medical education was completed across the Universities of St Andrews and Edinburgh. After graduating, Dr Johnston undertook his Foundation Programme and GP specialty training in the South East Scotland Deanery. His hospital posts covered a broad range of specialties, including respiratory and general medicine, emergency medicine, surgery, orthopaedics, obstetrics and gynaecology, psychiatry and general practice.

Dr Johnston also works as a GP Appraiser for NHS Fife, supporting fellow GPs with their continuing professional development. At The Heriot Clinic, his focus is on providing patients with sufficient consultation time and continuity with the same doctor.
