Dr Claire Feeney

Dr Claire Feeney is a highly dedicated Consultant Endocrinologist who holds dual accreditation in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and General Medicine. She provides comprehensive and empathetic care for patients managing a wide spectrum of hormonal and metabolic conditions. Dr Feeney is committed to offering clear, patient-centred consultations that ensure every individual receives a personalised diagnostic and treatment plan tailored to their specific health needs.

Her clinical work spans all aspects of general endocrinology, with subspecialty focus on complex pituitary disorders and autoimmune endocrine conditions. Dr Feeney possesses extensive expertise in the multidisciplinary management of thyroid eye disease (Graves' orbitopathy), utilising advanced orbital imaging techniques to guide timely clinical decision-making. Her areas of clinical focus also include growth hormone deficiency, post-traumatic hypopituitarism, metabolic syndrome, Addison's disease, and adrenal dysfunction.

Dr Feeney earned her Master of Arts in Medical Sciences from Cambridge University in 2002 before completing her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery at Imperial College London in 2005. She became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians in 2008 and completed her Higher Specialist Training in 2018. Furthering her academic foundation, she was awarded a PhD in Clinical Neuroscience and Neuroendocrinology from Imperial College London in 2016.

Alongside her clinical responsibilities, Dr Feeney serves as an Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer and is actively engaged in clinical research and medical education. Having previously held a Medical Research Council Training Fellowship investigating hormonal influences on brain degeneration and systemic metabolism, she brings cutting-edge scientific knowledge directly to patient care. She also remains passionately involved in teaching medical students and mentoring postgraduate candidates preparing for professional examinations.
