Mr Chris James

Mr Chris James is the Lead Podiatrist at The Exeter Clinic, bringing over 15 years of clinical experience across both the NHS and independent healthcare sectors. A graduate of the University of Plymouth with a BSc in Podiatry (2010), Chris has dedicated his career to diagnosing and treating a wide range of musculoskeletal foot and lower limb conditions. His approach combines clinical expertise with advanced technologies such as 3D gait analysis, shockwave therapy, photobiomodulation, orthotic therapy, and rehabilitation to provide highly personalised care. He also specialises in nail surgery, particularly for ingrown and fungal nails.

Chris’s passion for podiatry is rooted in personal experience, having grown up with talipes equinovarus, he brings a unique understanding and empathy to his practice. He takes pride in delivering patient-focused solutions that go beyond symptoms, aiming to restore movement, reduce pain and improve quality of life.

Outside of the clinic, Chris is an avid runner and recently completed the Great West Run, with ambitions to take on a full marathon. He’s also a committed supporter of the Exeter Chiefs rugby team.
