Mr Chris John

Mr Chris John is an Associate Specialist General Surgeon with over 15 years of experience at The Royal United Hospital Bath. He also provides NHS services at Sulis Hospital Bath. Mr John completed his medical degree at the University of London in 1988 and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England.

Mr John specialises in hernia repair and laparoscopic surgery. He has performed over 1000 hernia repairs, both laparoscopic and open. At Sulis Hospital Bath, he also provides services for the treatment of gallbladder disease (laparoscopic cholecystectomy), pilonidal sinus disease (pilonidal sinus excision), inflammatory bowel disease (flexible sigmoidoscopy) and anal fistula.

Outside of his clinical practice, Mr John is also a junior doctor trainer and a teacher on the Basic Surgical Skills Course and the regional deanery skills course.
