Dr Carla Saour

Dr. Carla Saour earned her medical degree from St George’s, University of London, in 2005. During her medical studies, she also completed a degree in Biomedical Science with a focus on Physiology, which led to the publication of her research project in the Journal of Physiology.

Following graduation, Dr. Saour gained extensive experience across various medical specialties, including Obstetrics & Gynaecology, where she obtained a diploma from the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists.

In 2010, she completed her training to become a General Practitioner (GP) and has since worked as both an NHS and private GP. Since 2011, she has been practising at an NHS clinic in Kensington, where she serves as the designated safeguarding lead for both adults and children.

Dr. Saour is committed to medical education and has taught medical students, served as a Clinical Assessment Examiner, and acted as a Clinical and Educational Supervisor for junior doctors.

With a special interest in Women’s Health, particularly the perimenopause and menopause, Dr. Saour has undergone extensive training in this area. She takes a holistic approach to patient care, working closely with her patients to optimise their wellbeing and reduce the risk of chronic diseases that may develop during this phase of life. She emphasises lifestyle modifications, hormone replacement therapy, or a combination of both as potential interventions. Dr. Saour believes that effectively managing menopause can significantly improve the quality of life for women and strives to raise awareness about women’s health through educational talks and social media platforms.
