Mr Bharpoor Singh

Mr Singh is a Consultant Ophthalmologist at Barts Health NHS Trust in London, specialising in all aspects of glaucoma and cataract care, including diagnosis, medical management, and surgical treatment. He also provides comprehensive ophthalmic care for a wide range of conditions, including emergency ophthalmic conditions, dry eye disease, and minor ophthalmic procedures.

He completed his ophthalmology specialist training at the renowned Moorfields Eye Hospital and Western Eye Hospital, where he undertook an advanced Glaucoma Fellowship, developing specialist expertise in the diagnosis and management of glaucoma and complex eye conditions.

Mr Singh graduated with distinction from Imperial College London and also holds a First-Class BSc in Healthcare Management and a Postgraduate Diploma (PGDip) in Clinical Education, reflecting his commitment to healthcare leadership, teaching, and the development of clinical practice.

Alongside his clinical work, Mr Singh is actively involved in ophthalmic research and education. He has published research in multiple peer-reviewed journals and has presented his work through international oral presentations and numerous poster presentations. He is passionate about teaching and training the next generation of ophthalmologists and is actively involved in the education and supervision of ophthalmology trainees.

Mr Singh also contributes to medical education through role as an examiner at Barts Medical School and as a member of the ST1 Ophthalmology recruitment panel, supporting the selection and development of future ophthalmologists.
