Mr Bharath Puttur

Mr Bharath Puttur is an experienced Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with over 20 years of clinical expertise in oral surgery, implantology, and facial reconstruction. He obtained his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) in 2004 from India and went on to complete his Postgraduate Diploma in Dental Studies (PGDDS) at the Royal London Hospital in 2007, focusing on Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Oral Medicine.

Mr Puttur’s extensive training includes experience in craniofacial distraction, trauma management, orthognathic surgery, and head and neck skin surgery across leading UK hospitals, including University Hospital Coventry, Southampton General Hospital, and Peterborough City Hospital, where he has worked as a Locum Consultant in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery for nine years.

He has a particular interest in full-mouth implant rehabilitation, specialising in All-on-4/All-on-6 same-day teeth treatments. At The Ackerman Clinic, Mr Puttur leads one of the few centres in the UK to offer Zygomatic and Sub-Periosteal implants, using custom-made solutions for patients unsuitable for conventional implants.

Alongside his clinical work, Mr Puttur is dedicated to education and leadership. He serves as a Regional Advisor for Dentistry for the East of England with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, is an Educational Supervisor for junior doctors, and lectures internationally on oral surgery and implantology. He is also a faculty member of the Strasbourg Osteosynthesis Research Group (SORG) and mentors colleagues in trauma management and pre-prosthetic surgery.
