Bert Stemarthe

Bert Stemarthe is a seasoned Cognitive Hypnotherapist, EMDR practitioner, and executive coach who embraces a holistic approach to client care. His belief in considering the whole person rather than just the immediate issue allows him to provide the best opportunities for his clients to achieve their therapy goals.

With a broad spectrum of experience, Bert has successfully worked with clients dealing with anxiety, stress, PTSD, phobias, fear of public speaking, social anxiety, and various other challenges. His specific areas of expertise include confidence, self-esteem, beliefs, and locus of control—the degree to which individuals believe they have control over events in their lives.

In addition to his extensive therapy background, Bert is a qualified and experienced executive coach and a certified Business Psychologist. He has collaborated with individuals in leadership positions, including C-suite executives, global heads of departments, partner-level employees, entrepreneurs, and professionals from diverse industries.

Bert's recent coaching assignments include leadership development, assisting a CFO in transitioning to a CEO role, preparing a CEO for the sale of a multinational company, and helping a team of hospital consultants rebuild trust and structure within their team.

In his coaching practice, Bert applies a comprehensive understanding of behaviour, blending therapeutic insights with coaching techniques. He explores how clients typically approach problems, their coping mechanisms, and their effectiveness. If current strategies aren't working, he assists clients in finding more effective ways to address immediate and long-term career objectives.
