Dr. Belma Yagbasan

Dr. Belma Yesilada Yagbasan is an accomplished General Internal Medicine Consultant. She completed her medical degree at Uludag University in Bursa, Turkey, in 2005, followed by a residency in Internal Medicine at Istanbul Training and Research Hospital (2009-2014). Dr. Yagbasan has extensive experience in various healthcare settings in Turkey and has recently begun practising in the UK.

Throughout her career, Dr. Yagbasan has held several notable roles, including her position as Internal Medicine Consultant at Medicana International Istanbul Hospital (2017-2019) and as a lecturer in Internal Medicine at Biruni University Medical School. She has also served as the responsible doctor for the Hemodialysis Unit at Akseki State Hospital, Antalya, and has worked in various general practitioner roles in Istanbul.

Dr. Yagbasan has contributed to medical research with a focus on preventive care and disease markers, including a specialisation thesis examining LDL/HDL ratios and colorectal cancer risk. Additionally, she has co-authored chapters on child abuse and neglect for the Turkish Neurosurgery Society’s publications, emphasising her interdisciplinary approach.

Her commitment to medical education is evident in her teaching roles, where she provided internal medicine instruction to fourth-year medical students and led diabetes education programs.
