Ms Beatriz Curtis

Beatriz Curtis is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist and Psychotherapy Specialist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). She has over 10 years of experience and currently practices at Roodlane Medical New Broad Street.

Originally from Spain, Beatriz pursued her studies in Psychology and has been contributing to mental health services in the UK since 1998. She completed her Master’s degree in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy at Essex University and became registered with the HCPC in 2010. She is also an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society. 

Beatriz has practiced in various settings, including private practice, corporate sectors, hospitals, and outpatient clinics, providing her with a comprehensive understanding of the array of challenges individuals face. She is committed to promoting positive mental health and wellbeing across diverse age groups.

Beatriz's therapeutic approach is rooted in psychoanalytic theories and practices, creating an explorative and reflective space for individuals. She also possesses the flexibility to seamlessly integrate other therapeutic models, such as cognitive-behavioural approaches, to address more focused and directive needs.

In her role at Roodlane Medical New Broad Street, Beatriz offers both short and long-term treatment options. Specialising in a range of issues, including interpersonal difficulties, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, stress, and challenges related to autism and ADHD in highly functioning adults, she is also skilled in assisting individuals facing difficulties in adjusting to significant and stressful events, as well as those who have experienced historical abuse.

Beatriz is dedicated to providing compassionate and effective psychological support, tailoring her approach to meet the unique needs of each individual. Her goal is to empower clients on their journey towards mental wellbeing, fostering growth, resilience, and positive change.
