Barney Hogg

Barney is an experienced Physiotherapist with a master’s-level clinical background and a broad range of experience across private practice and work with the Ministry of Defence. Working with The Massage Company, he supports people with a wide range of MSK issues, from post-operative rehabilitation and sports injuries to persistent pain, everyday aches, and movement-related conditions.

His approach focuses on understanding the factors contributing to pain or restricted movement before developing a practical and individualised programme for recovery. Depending on people’s needs, this includes movement and exercise therapy, hands-on treatment, belief and lifestyle modification. By combining active rehabilitation with the benefits of massage therapy, clients achieve immediate symptom relief and long-term improvements in pain and movement.

Barney's philosophy is informed by his background in strength and conditioning and experience as a personal trainer. This provides a strong understanding of movement, exercise, strength development, and physical performance, which he incorporates into his rehabilitation programmes.

Barney works with people across a wide range of ages, lifestyles, and activity levels, adapting his approach to their individual goals and circumstances. His focus is on providing practical, evidence-informed support that helps clients move with greater confidence and maintain their physical wellbeing over time.
