Dr. Bapi Sujoy Biswas

Dr Bapi Sujoy Biswas is an experienced General Practitioner and Director with over 25 years of service in West Lancashire and the surrounding areas. Having grown up locally, he has built a long-standing career as a GP, providing comprehensive, community-focused care to patients across West Lancashire and Sefton.

He qualified with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from University of Liverpool in 1990, where he was awarded the Freddie Hudson Prize for undergraduate research in child health, with a focus on asthma. His early clinical training took place across several major hospitals in North West England, including Arrowe Park Hospital, the Royal Liverpool Hospital, Liverpool Women’s Hospital, and Oxford Street Hospital, where he gained broad experience in surgery, medicine, orthopaedics, geriatrics, gynaecology, and obstetrics.

Dr Biswas further expanded his expertise by completing a Pre-Hospital Emergency Care Certificate in 1996. He then spent a decade serving as an honorary ambulance officer in immediate care, a role for which he was awarded the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal in 2006 in recognition of his contribution to emergency medical services.

As a GP, Dr Biswas has a wide-ranging interest in all aspects of medicine, with particular focus on diabetes management, minor surgery, vasectomy procedures, anticoagulation, and internal medicine. His approach to care is rooted in experience, continuity, and a strong commitment to patient wellbeing, reflecting his long-standing dedication to the communities he serves.
