About Dr Aye Thida Hline
Dr. Aye Thida Hline is a highly experienced Consultant Cardiologist at Spire Hartswood Hospital in Brentwood, Essex, where she offers a wide range of private cardiology tests and treatments. She also serves as a Consultant Cardiologist at Barking, Havering and Redbridge NHS Trust (BHRUT) since 2016. Dr. Hline has a special interest in heart failure and valvular heart disease but manages all aspects of heart conditions in her general cardiology clinic.
Dr. Hline leads the heart failure services at BHRUT, where she runs a dedicated one-stop diagnostic heart failure clinic. As a member of the European Heart Failure Association (HFA) with full certification, she also conducts weekly cardiovascular Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) meetings with GPs and community cardiac specialist nurses, advising on the management of complex heart conditions.
Her cardiological procedures include diagnostic coronary angiograms, permanent pacemaker implantation, implantable loop recorder (ILR) implantation, as well as transthoracic and transoesophageal echocardiograms. She actively contributes to the training and development of medical professionals, overseeing the echocardiography teaching programme at Queen’s Hospital and mentoring echo trainees, junior doctors, GPs, cardiac physiologists, and technicians.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Hline has played a pivotal role in designing pathways and protocols for evidence-based drug treatments for heart failure, both in the community and primary care settings.
