Avi Lakhani

Avi Lakhani is a dedicated Physiotherapist with a clinical focus on musculoskeletal conditions, sports injury management, and post-operative rehabilitation. Her professional journey is driven by a commitment to helping patients regain their movement confidence through evidence-based, individualised care plans. Avi’s interest in physiotherapy became personal after experiencing a shoulder subluxation during her undergraduate training, giving her first-hand insight into the frustration of injury and the empowering role that effective rehabilitation can play. This experience has informed Avi’s empathetic and patient-centred approach to supporting others through recovery.

With extensive experience in both private practice and elite university sport, Avi is adept at treating a diverse patient population, from "weekend warriors" to competitive athletes. She specialises in managing complex issues related to the back, neck, and major joints, ensuring that every patient understands the underlying mechanics of their recovery. She currently serves as Lead Physiotherapist for Cardiff University Women's Rugby, where he assesses injuries, provides pitch-side care, and guides athletes through rehabilitation and their return to sport.
