Dr. Arpita Jain

Dr Arpita Jain is a Consultant Ophthalmologist with more than 28 years of experience. She qualified in Medicine in Indore, India, in 1992 before moving to the United Kingdom to complete her specialist training in ophthalmology. In 1996, she became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCS Ed) in Ophthalmology. She later obtained an MSc in Investigative Ophthalmology and Visual Science (IOVS) from the University of Manchester in 2006.

Her subspecialty interest is in medical retina, including the management of age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and retinal vascular occlusions. Alongside this, Dr Jain has extensive experience in the management of a broad range of general ophthalmic conditions such as cataracts, glaucoma, dry eye disease and eyelid disorders.

Throughout her career, Dr Jain has combined her subspecialty practice with comprehensive ophthalmology, providing diagnostic assessment, medical treatment and surgical procedures across both retinal and general eye conditions. She continues to maintain a strong focus on evidence-based clinical practice and high professional standards.

Dr Jain currently practises at Practice Plus Group Ophthalmology, Rochdale, where she provides specialist ophthalmic care to patients across Greater Manchester and the North West of England.
