Dr. Arokia Antonysamy

Dr Arokia Antonysamy, known as Dr Samy, is a highly qualified Consultant Psychiatrist at Priory Hospital Hayes Grove. She is currently the clinical lead for mental health at the National NHS Benchmarking Network.

Dr Samy completed her training in general adult psychiatry in the UK, and also trained in addictions and perinatal psychiatry. She holds a Masters degree in leadership and public health, and is passionate about patient outcomes, and positive care experiences. Dr Samy obtained membership to the prestigious Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2006. 

She has contributed to a number of projects, including the development of a quality improvement toolkit for mental health, which was launched in 2016 at the house of commons. She also worked with the Royal College of Psychiatrists in the National Audit of Psychosis in between 2017 and 2018. In 2008, Dr Samy won the Rethink Academic Prize for one of her research projects. She has also received the Innovator Award for her work in creating a tool to help monitor patients in hospitals.
