Mr Amr Eldessouky completed his specialist training in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery in the West Midlands, followed by advanced Foot and Ankle Fellowships at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, Birmingham, and University Hospitals of Leicester. He currently works as a Locum Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon and Foot & Ankle Specialist at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, one of the UK's leading tertiary referral centres.
Mr Eldessouky manages all aspects of adult foot and ankle
surgery, treating both routine and complex conditions. His specialist interests
include bunion surgery, sports injuries, ankle arthritis, tendon disorders,
flatfoot and cavovarus reconstruction, ankle arthroscopy, deformity correction
and total ankle replacement.
Mr Eldessouky is actively involved in research and has published peer-reviewed papers and book chapters on a range of foot and ankle topics. He teaches medical students and orthopaedic trainees and was awarded the Birmingham Orthopaedic Training Programme Trainer of the Year Award in 2024/25.
