Dr. Ahmed Salih

Dr Ahmed Salih is a General Practitioner within the NHS, currently based at Cwmfelin Medical Centre in Swansea. Alongside his GP role, he also works as a freelance Prison Doctor, providing care in challenging and diverse clinical environments.

Graduating with an MD from Queen’s University Belfast in 2018, following a BSc in Biological and Biomedical Sciences from Cardiff University in 2013, Dr Salih went on to complete his MRCGP in 2024. His training and experience have equipped him with a thorough understanding of patient care, from accurate diagnosis to the development and delivery of tailored treatment plans.

He thrives in the ever-evolving field of medicine, adapting to new evidence, technologies, and approaches that improve patient outcomes. A skilled communicator, Dr Salih is adept at breaking down complex medical concepts for patients, ensuring clarity while fostering trust and engagement. He values active listening as much as clear explanation, believing both are essential for effective care.

Dr Salih’s clinical interests lie in metabolic disease and therapeutics, areas in which he continues to expand his expertise to better serve the needs of his patients across primary care and secure healthcare settings.
