Mr Abhijeet Yadav

Mr Abhijeet Yadav is a consultant ophthalmic surgeon specialising in cataract surgery and neuro-ophthalmology. He trained in ophthalmology in New Delhi, earning an MS in Ophthalmology and the Diplomate of National Board, before completing the FRCOphth, a Certificate in Laser and Refractive Surgery and a neuro-ophthalmology fellowship at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. He is a Fellow of the International Council of Ophthalmology and was awarded the Elizabeth Hunt (Gold) Medal in the FRCOphth Refraction Certificate.

In cataract care, he offers modern cataract surgery and YAG laser capsulotomy, and his neuro-ophthalmic training adds a particular depth to the assessment of complex visual problems. He takes care to explain conditions and next steps in plain language, and patients consistently report that they feel involved in their care and understand the plan. His approach is deliberately minimalist and efficient, with the patient's choices and wellbeing in mind.

He is Service Lead for Neuro-ophthalmology at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust, and Neuro-ophthalmology service Co-Lead at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. He is an examiner for the Royal College of Ophthalmology and is a cataract surgery trainer for budding eye surgeons. He is a member of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, the European Neuro-ophthalmology Society and the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons.
