About Wycliffe House
Wycliffe House is a specialist rehabilitation service for men with brain injury associated with alcohol-related brain damage. The service offers 27 ensuite bedrooms and can support individuals who have a history of or are currently addicted to drugs or alcohol.
Residents have access to an occupational therapy kitchen, communal lounges, a physiotherapy gym, a talking therapy room, as well as a large garden complete with a patio area.
In addition to a neurological illness and addiction, service users may also have cognitive impairments, communication difficulties, and challenging behaviours. Under a DoLS, Wycliffe House has the ability to admit those who do not have the capacity to give their consent to treatment.
Wycliff House treats all its service users in a non-judgmental and compassionate manner. The team understands that addiction impacts every element of an individual's life and therefore seeks to gain external funding for treatment programs that focus not just on the addiction itself, but also on other aspects of the individual's life including their family role, work skills, as well as their mental health.
The Active Care Group is a specialist provider of complex care services for people of all ages across the UK. Offering a fully integrated pathway of support to meet long term and changing needs, Active Care Group's portfolio of services include rehabilitation, residential and supported living, care in the home, respiratory, case management and staffing.
