“From the moment I arrived at reception it was plain that I was in good hands for my hoLEP. Covid checks rigorously conducted which was confidence inspiring. Very attentive and friendly nursing staff and attended to every hour on the hour during the night following the HoLEP by very affable and caring night staff. The wake up call at 06.00 was carefully done and all pipes were removed. Good awareness of what was happening thanks to excellent communication skills on the part of all nursing staff. Good hospital food.“

Welcome to The Princess Grace Hospital

About

Opened in 1977 by Princess Grace of Monaco herself, The Princess Grace Hospital is recognised as one of the UK’s best-equipped, multidisciplinary, acute private hospitals, offering access to the latest innovative technology and pioneering medical treatment. Constantly at the forefront of medical innovation, The Princess Grace was the first ever private hospital to offer digital mammography and have an Urgent Care Centre. This gives people instant access to treatment for every urgent illness, injury and disease thanks to cutting edge diagnostic and screening equipment, on-site complex blood tests, a pharmacy and operating theatres. You don't need to book. You can just turn up. This was also the first hospital in the UK to develop a surgical robotic centre of excellence, bringing together world-leading specialists to challenge current medicine, develop new techniques and set new, higher standards for healthcare. The hospital offers specialist centres dedicated to digestive issues, breast, cancer, liver, bowel and orthopaedics problems and has significant expertise in robotic surgery, breast care, digestive health, urology, diagnostic imaging and gynaecology. There's a popular Institute of Sports, Exercise and Medicine to help you recover faster, staffed by highly-trained sports medicine experts, and overall the hospital's patients have access to over 700 experienced consultants.

I have been visiting my husband who was admitted twice in the last 6 weeks, and I always found every aspect of his care top notch. Now I am under medical treatment, and I find the same standard for myself.

I can't fault the Critical Care ward, in which I spent one night. Most of my stay was over a weekend, and I got the impression the general ward was a little understaffed due to staff illness (COVID) and nationwide stresses on the healthcare system. There were a few "glitches" such as a broken blood test machine. However my overall experience was very good, and there were several nurses who really impressed me by their attention to my well-being.

Everyone involved in my care at the Princess Grace Hospital were highly professional, competent and kind. I received excellent nursing care in the HDU and on the surgical ward post surgery. The physios were superb, patient and encouraging and helped me to focus on securing a speedy recovery. All staff including the cleaning and catering staff were kind, polite and attentive. I had every confidence that I was in the safest of hands under the care of my surgeons Professor Mokbel and Mr Stuart James, I am extremely grateful to them both for their expertise and fastidious practice.
