The Princess Grace Hospital
Welcome to The Princess Grace Hospital
Opened in 1977 by Princess Grace of Monaco herself, The Princess Grace Hospital is recognised as one of the UK’s best-equipped, multidisciplinary, acute private hospitals, offering access to the latest innovative technology and pioneering medical treatment. Constantly at the forefront of medical innovation, The Princess Grace was the first ever private hospital to offer digital mammography and have an Urgent Care Centre. This gives people instant access to treatment for every urgent illness, injury and disease thanks to cutting edge diagnostic and screening equipment, on-site complex blood tests, a pharmacy and operating theatres. You don't need to book. You can just turn up. This was also the first hospital in the UK to develop a surgical robotic centre of excellence, bringing together world-leading specialists to challenge current medicine, develop new techniques and set new, higher standards for healthcare. The hospital offers specialist centres dedicated to digestive issues, breast, cancer, liver, bowel and orthopaedics problems and has significant expertise in robotic surgery, breast care, digestive health, urology, diagnostic imaging and gynaecology. There's a popular Institute of Sports, Exercise and Medicine to help you recover faster, staffed by highly-trained sports medicine experts, and overall the hospital's patients have access to over 700 experienced consultants.
Excellent all round. You are made to feel very welcome and well cared for.
Very friendly atmosphere, short waiting times
Very good indeed
Friendly, professional, clean - just the best!
Very attentive and professional team
Lovely hospital with much bigger rooms than my local private hospital where I normally have all operations. The rooms have all that you would need including a well set out bathroom and large TV. The nursing staff were excellent. They were very attentive and gave me the best care I have had from nurses. Dorothy, Aysling and Alison are especially worthy of mention. I felt comfortable at all times. It would just have been nice if COVID wasn't about and I could have visitors.
Procedure postponed for logistical reasons on my part
The nursing staff and the Princess Grace Hospital were first-class: empathetic and skilful. They liaised with the anaesthetist to improve my pain management and were efficient in my everyday care. The only thing that was less-than-perfect was that discharge was a bit rushed.
I found the hospital staff to be helpful and professional
Nothing to fault
All staff were friendly. Cleanliness was very good, including the extra hygiene measures introduced in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The financial team settled the payment for my treatment without a hitch, taking into account the need for my operation to be cancelled and then re-booked because (in part) of COVID-19 restrictions. A couple of points where there could be scope for improvement. 1. I found the website a bit unhelpful. There is much valuable information on it, but navigating to the page you need to see wasn't always straightforward, and messages weren't always consistent from one place to another. I suggest getting an outsider who is neither a health professional nor an IT expert to explore the site and suggest places where layout, signposting, etc could be made more reader-friendly. 2. My surgeon arranged for the hospital to provide some incontinence pads when I was discharged. I imagine it is common for patients who have had a HoLEP or similar operation on their prostate to need pads in the immediate post-operation period. I was disappointed to receive only a few pads, especially as I was discharged on a Sunday and getting further supplies was not an immediate possibility. It seemed ungenerous.
My stay at the Princess Grace Hospital was very good overall. The medical care and procedures I underwent were performed very professionally, and the staff (nurses in particular but not exclusively) was very friendly and attentive. The facilities were good.
From the minute I arrived at the Princess Grace I was treated very well. The staff are very organised and passionate about their jobs.. I felt very comfortable instantly at this hospital and would highly recommend.
The care was of a very good standard.
Very happy with every aspect of the hospital.
Interview was by phone not at the hospital
