The New Life Centre

The New Life Centre is a mental health and an addiction treatment centre located in Broughton, North Yorkshire, which brings together a passionate team of doctors and nurses providing a fully comprehensive range of services all in one place. The multidisciplinary team is made up of a Consultant Psychiatrist, registered General and Mental Health Nurses, registered therapists and specialist General Practitioners. This network of highly specialised staff ensures that all patients receive a fully personalised treatment programme to suit their individual needs.

The New Life Centre accepts both mental health admissions and addiction admissions. 

The New Life Centre is based in Pasture House, found in the picturesque Yorkshire Dales. Pasture House is surrounded by wild reservoirs, woodland and meandering rivers which boast a spectacular view and calming environment.

The New Life Centre is led by leading Consultant Psychiatrist Dr Amal Beaini who has over 43 years experience as a consultant psychiatrist and 29 years of clinical experience in addiction. Dr Beaini first launched the BONDS protocols in 1995 in Harrogate and these are now incorporated into the services offered at The New Life Centre. Since their initial launch in 1995 at Detox5 (TM), the BONDS protocols have been used to treat more than 12,000 and previous data showed that 97% of these completed the initial detox. A recent audit at the last 12 months of addiction admissions at The New Life Centre showed that 84% were still abstinent at 12 months, for those who remained under follow up (follow up timescales varied, though).

The team at The New Life Centre are able to treat a broad range of addictions, including the following:

The team understands that up to 70% of those struggling with addiction have underlying mental health issues. Due to this, all treatment programmes are tailored around a dual diagnosis, offering a holistic approach that treats the underlying mental health condition as well as the addiction itself.
