Staff at the Charing Cross Hospital Imperial Private Healthcare were very helpful, positive and friendly.

Good experience overall - a very smooth process from booking by a very efficient professional, Kristina Pindolia, Private Secretary to Dr Richard Turner, to seeing one of the top lung doctors, Dr Richard Turner. There was, practically, no waiting time. All the staff members were friendly and kind.

Great service and helpful staff.

The care was extremely good but the most important aspect was the quality of the surgeon, operating theatre & anaesthetist as far I am concerned.

I was admitted for chemotherapy in the private oncology ward on the 15th floor. Having paid for a private health care experience I expected a first rate service and experience. I do not feel either privileged or entitled but do expect that the service I am paying for - would be a lot better. This was my 3rd of 6 chemotherapy sessions and each of the three sessions have been very different. The first session on 13th March ran pretty much to time and my medication post chemo was ready when I left the private ward. The second session on 3rd April was punctuated by a two hour delay in getting the infusion from the lab to the private suite and a delay in post chemo meds and the third - yesterday - was punctuated by a one hour delay in getting the infusion and then an additional 45 mins in getting the post chemo meds before I could go home. In addition in spite of the post chemo meds being ordered at 9am yesterday I had to go and stand (immuno compromised after chemo!) in the pharmacy alongside all manner of poorly people who were looking for their prescriptions to be filled. The simple question is how does that stack up against private medical elsewhere and what is the difference between the “NHS experience” and the “private health experience” at Charing Cross Hospital?
Thank you for your feedback. We are very sorry to hear about your experience and if you would like to contact us via imperial.private.healthcare@nhs.net a member of the management team will be in touch to discuss your concerns. Best wishes, the Imperial Private Healthcare team

The services were good. Location ok. Overall was happy with my stay in the hospital. Nurses could be more attentive.

I'm very happy with your medical, catering and cleaning staff. The only thing I am unhaply about is that your billing department has, more than once, sent bills to me onstead of my insurance company, despite having their details. On one occasion, your credit control team contacted me to chase me for payment - the day before a chemo treatment about bills I hadn't seen, wasn't expecting, didn't need to see and which my insurer settled as soon as they were contacted. Just what I needed when trying to stay calm and positive before treatment. Despite this, your team phoned me again about my next bill. I've only knocked one star off your total score because your other people have been *so* good. The oncology nurses, in particular, have been friendly, helpful, professional - *so* good.
Thank you for your feedback. We really appreciate you taking the time to share your positive experiences at the Thames View. However, we are very sorry to hear about your experience with billing.
