Established consultant gynaecologist of 30 years standing who has been a pioneer in laparoscopic and robotic surgery as well as gynaecological oncology and colposcopy. Trained in London he qualified from Barts Hospital in 1989 and was awarded his Membership to the Royal College in 1994. He also obtained a doctorate thesis in 1994 and has subsequently been made a Fellow of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologist. He has been an officer of both the British Society of Gynaecological Endoscopy (BSGE) and British Gynaecological Cancer Society (BGCS) ans well as president of the British and Irish Association of Robotic Gynaecological Surgeons (BIARGS). He is president elect of the Society of European Robotic Gynaecological Surgeons (SERGS).
