Scrabo Isles Nursing Home

Scrabo Isles Nursing Home, part of Tona Enterprises Ltd, is a family run home located on a pleasant and secluded site near Scrabo Tower and the surrounding countryside. Established in 1987, Scrabo Isles has provided and maintained a high quality of care that is safe and comfortable for their residents for 35 years.

The categories of care provided at Scrabo Isles includes old age (not falling within any other category), physical disability (other than sensory impairment), physical disability (other than sensory impairment) in over 65 year olds and terminally ill residents.

The original home has been adapted and extended, now accommodating 40 residents. The home has a variety of shared and single rooms, some with an ensuite W/C. Each room is tastefully decorated and residents are encouraged to make their room their own by adding some personal furniture. Residents also have access to communal areas including a sun lounge, large lounge, quiet lounge area and enclosed courtyard.

Scrabo Isles is also home to a team of dedicated care staff, each dedicated to providing a homely and friendly environment for their residents. The team understands the needs of their residents and supports, encourages and reassures each resident at all times. There are also experienced chefs onsite who are trained to provide seasonal menus composed of fresh, nutritious and balanced home cooked meals, taking into account the dietary requirements and preferences.

The residents have the opportunity to participate in the home's busy activities programme which includes watching TV in the lounge, crafts and hobbies, meeting friends and family in the quiet lounge and enjoying the sunshine haven of the courtyard in the summer months.
