Providence Projects

Providence Projects is a residential addiction treatment and rehabilitation centre based in Bournemouth. The centre provides treatment for substance and behavioural addictions through a structured pathway that includes detoxification, primary treatment, secondary treatment, sober living and ongoing aftercare.

Treatment is available for alcohol and drug addiction, including prescription drug and legal high addiction. The centre also provides rehabilitation for behavioural addictions, including gambling, gaming, sex, shopping and internet addiction. Detoxification is available where required, with medical support and monitoring.

Treatment programmes combine individual and group therapy with relapse prevention and structured therapeutic support. Approaches include cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), trauma-informed therapy, family therapy and the 12-step approach. The programme also incorporates holistic practices including mindfulness and yoga.

Providence Projects offers primary residential treatment followed by secondary care for those requiring continued support. Sober living provides a structured and supportive environment between treatment and greater independence. Aftercare and ongoing recovery support are also available following treatment.

Family therapy is available as part of the treatment programme to support families and relationships affected by addiction.
