Persley Castle Care Home is set in a converted period house in Bucksburn, 3 miles from the centre of Aberdeen. With 3 floors for residents to enjoy, Persley stands next to the river Don and enjoys beautiful views. The home has a relaxing garden with areas to the front and rear of the home, which have easy access from the home, allowing space to enjoy the outdoor air and where residents are able to relax.

Persley Castle provides accommodation for a maximum of 40 residents including up to 35 older people and 5 adults with physical impairment. The majority of the rooms are single occupancy and have en-suite facilities. They also have one double room that can be shared by a couple if they so wish.

The home provides 24 hour nursing and general care to residents, and the team are well known for providing the highest quality of care. The nurses are NMC registered and together with the team trained care staff are able to deliver personalised care to each resident, understanding that no two residents will have the same needs.

In keeping with the individualised care approach, each resident will have a care plan which they are asked to contribute to and which is specific to them, focusing on their abilities, aspirations and choices. The team at Persley castle are dedicated to creating a space for optimal wellbeing in both a physical and emotional capacity,

The home has access to a range of medical services; as well as benefitting from a clinic held in the home each week residents can access other NHS services such as dieticians, physiotherapists, district nurses and community psychiatric services.

All meals are freshly cooked on the premises and the menus are planned to ensure that you have a well-balanced and varied diet. The cooks are skilled and trained in their field and work hard to create new and exciting choices for residents to enjoy. All dietary and allergen requirements are catered for. Snacks and soft drinks are available for residents to enjoy outside main meal times.

The housekeeping staff work hard to maintain a clean and fresh environment. A full laundering service, with the exception of dry-cleaning, is provided in the home.

Persley Castle has a comprehensive activity programme for residents to enjoy. There are also various other extra services which are available as required such as hairdressing, podiatry and newspapers.
