Park House

Park House is a Neurological Rehabilitation Centre based in Bedford that provides post-acute rehabilitation as well as the management of long-term neurological conditions. Park House focuses particularly on therapy and care to improve quality of life and supports a number of conditions including brain injury, spinal injury, stroke, progressive neurological conditions, Huntington's disease, and functional neurological disorders. A multi-disciplinary team work together to achieve this goal and consists of a rehabilitation consultant, neuropsychologist, speech and language therapists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and experienced rehabilitation and therapy assistants.

Park House offers accommodation for up to 11 residents (7 ensuite bedrooms and 4 transitional living bedsits) and includes a garden that residents are encouraged to help maintain, as well as and a training kitchen to assist with rehabilitation. Wheelchair access is provided throughout the facility, and there is a lift located on every floor.

The team at Park House develop evidence-based, person-centred rehabilitation care plans that seek to maximize an individual's independence. The centre is conveniently located close to Bedford Park and the town centre which enables service users to easily access occupational and educational opportunities as well as social and recreational activities.
