Mr Kashani is a highly experienced Consultant Ophthalmologist with specialist expertise in complex cataract surgery using premium intraocular lens implants, as well as the diagnosis and management of retinal conditions. Our Eastbourne clinic is equipped with state-of-the-art ophthalmic technology, including advanced optical biometry (IOL Master) and Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) retinal imaging, ensuring precise diagnosis, treatment planning and outstanding clinical outcomes.
Mr Kashani graduated from St George's Hospital Medical School in 1998 and completed his specialist ophthalmic training at some of London's leading teaching hospitals, including King's College Hospital, Charing Cross Hospital, Western Eye Hospital, and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. Alongside his private practice, he also holds a consultant role within East Sussex NHS Trust.
Dedicated to advancing ophthalmology, Mr Kashani has authored more than 40 peer-reviewed publications and has presented his research at national and international conferences. As a member of both the European Society of Retinal Specialists (EURETINA) and the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons (ESCRS), he remains at the forefront of developments in cataract and retinal care.
Mr Kashani is also passionate about education and clinical excellence, having received teaching awards for his contribution to ophthalmic training. He is a strong advocate for multidisciplinary eye care and the development of optometrists and specialist nurses within modern ophthalmology.

I cannot thank Mr Kashani enough for operating on both my eyes and placing Trifocal lenses in them. I have gone from not being able to read virtually anything without glasses to 20/20 vision without glasses. The results are absolutely amazing. Mr Kashani and his staff are always there to assist with any worries or concerns. He has always been very kind and understanding and always available to listen or assist. Again thank you so much for giving me my eye sight back. I still find it hard to believe the difference since my operations.
