About Norton Court House
Norton Court House provides high-quality care for young people (up to 18yrs) with learning disabilities, autism, or Asperger's Syndrome, who may also display challenging behaviour. The facility is well-equipped to support those who require short-break or long-term care, and the team are committed to helping the young people they care for to develop life, social and educational skills that will improve their wellbeing and quality of life. The goal at Norton court house is to enable children to feel safe and protected while also growing and developing their self-confidence.
The facility has been purpose-built and is divided into five self-contained apartments to create a homely atmosphere for its occupants, allowing them to socialise with their peers and develop supportive relationships with other young people. There are a total of 15 ensuite rooms as well as a sensory room, two large activity rooms and lounges, large bathrooms, a jacuzzi bath and a garden complete with a trampoline, swings, and a tree house.
The house is located near the thriving town of Stockton-on-Tees and residents are encouraged to attend school during their stay and join in the fun day trips to places such as theme parks or the seaside wherever they can should they wish to.
