Kingsmills Care Home

Kingsmills Care Home is located in the Crown area of Inverness. Kingsmills is a purpose-built home, designed to provide the highest quality of care for residents in calming and pleasant surroundings, including beautiful gardens which compliment the interior of Kingsmills. Residents are supported and encouraged to explore the environment and enjoy the relaxing setting.

Kingsmills care home provides care for up to 60 elderly residents within spacious, single occupancy, en suite rooms. Each room is equipped with care systems, tv points and telephone lines if required. Residents are encouraged to bring their own furniture and belongings to help them feel at home in their new surroundings.

The home offers large open lounge and dining areas for residents to relax in and enjoy, as well as regular events and entertainment for residents to enjoy, as well as plenty of quiet areas to relax in for those who fancy some peace and quiet.

The well-kept garden areas are maintained by our gardening enthusiasts, with residents getting involved in the gardening too; creating a beautiful space for residents and their families to enjoy aswell as providing practical areas for growing herbs and vegetables for use within our kitchen.

The Nursing staff are highly training and experienced in care for the elderly, with 24/7 nursing and residential care to elderly residents within safe and homely environments. The team understand that no two residents have identical requirements and they work hard to create individualised care plans to suit everyone as an individual.

The team of onsite nurses and care teams work closely with local GP's, and care teams to ensure that all residents receive the best care to meet their overall health and wellbeing need, in addition to which a qualified chiropodist and hair stylist also attend the home on a regular basis while complementary therapies can also be arranged.

The in house chef creates menus that meet the nutritional needs and tastes of all residents as well as catering to allergen and dietary requirements. Meals can be enjoyed in the sociable dining area, or if preferred can be served directly to resident's rooms.

Physical and mental wellness is a cornerstone of the care at Kingsmills care home, and they provide a variety of activities for residents to enjoy. The dedicated activities coordinator plans regular events and outings in consultation with residents and their families to ensure that everyone always has several things to look forward to.

Participation is entirely optional, and staff will do their best to help residents relax in private if that is their preference; taking into account the needs and personalities of every patient within their care.
