About Ibiza Calm

Ibiza Calm is a leading mental health and addiction treatment centre located in Spain and Europe, offering personalised and comprehensive care for behavioural addictions, mental health issues, and substance abuse.

With a capacity to accommodate 12 patients at a time, the clinic ensures an intimate and bespoke rehab experience.

Nestled on a 13-hectare private estate in the picturesque north of Ibiza, Spain, Ibiza Calm is surrounded by Mediterranean-style gardens that provide a serene and healing environment for recovery. The natural beauty of the location enhances the therapeutic experience, promoting tranquillity and well-being.

The dedicated team at Ibiza Calm offer a wide range of inpatient treatments for behavioural addictions, mental health problems, and substance abuse, including detoxification, counselling, group psychotherapy, mindfulness, and complementary therapies such as yoga and meditation. The carefully researched programme is delivered by highly qualified experts and is tailored to provide the best possible care for each patient.

Ibiza Calm's approach to treatment is holistic, focusing on the mind, body, and soul. Each patient undergoes a thorough assessment to develop a collaborative and personalised care plan. The clinic employs a combination of proven psychological and complementary therapies to design bespoke programmes for its clients. Additionally, nutritional and fitness plans are specially prepared for every individual, targeting the root causes of self-destructive behaviour to empower clients to take charge of their lives sustainably.

All the treatment programmes come with a free family support component, with easily accessible weekly online meetings available to all family members.

The idyllic setting of Ibiza, with its sunny climate averaging 300 days of sunshine a year, pristine turquoise Mediterranean Sea, beautiful beaches, and pine wood forests, provides the perfect backdrop for effective and restful residential recovery treatment. The island’s powerful energy and serene surroundings enhance the therapeutic process.

Every client at Ibiza Calm receives a comprehensive aftercare plan upon completing their treatment. The clinic offers weekly online aftercare sessions facilitated by highly qualified psychotherapists, ensuring continued support. Clients are introduced to the aftercare therapy before leaving treatment, giving them confidence in the ongoing support available to them.

Ibiza Calm changed my life! I came to Ibiza calm in my late teens— struggling severely. I had the most caring treatment team and going through such a challenging yet necessary process has really shaped who I’ve become today. I don’t even recognise who I was! I am forever grateful.

Menopause, mental health, substance abuse, and addiction - Ibiza Calm

Menopause, mental health, substance abuse, and addiction - Ibiza Calm

October is World Menopause Month, with last Friday (18th October) marking World Menopause Awareness Day. The aim this year is to raise awareness of Hormone Replacement therapy (HRT) and to highlight where people can go to get support and discuss options. The menopause is a natural stage in a woman’s life, which brings with it a whole host of physical and emotional side effects; but is rarely openly discussed. In our blog we look at the relationship between this change of life and mental health, and how it can have an impact on substance abuse and addiction. Not only are the symptoms often uncomfortable, but they can interfere with day-to-day living and have a serious impact on mental health; and whilst there is no direct link between the biological factors involved in the menopause and addiction, it is a difficult time and many will use, or increase their use of, drugs and alcohol as a method to cope.
