Hunters Moor

Hunters Moor is a Neurological Rehabilitation Centre based in Birmingham, that provides specialist level two neurological rehabilitation and neurobehavioral services. The centre can offer support for a range of conditions including brain injury, spinal injury, stroke, progressive neurological conditions, Huntington's disease, peripheral neurological conditions such as Guillain-Barre Syndrome, and functional neurological disorders. Residents are normally admitted from an acute hospital setting or level 1 rehab setting and join Hunters Moor where they can continue their rehabilitation journey.

Residents at Hunters Moor have access to a multi-disciplinary team consisting of a rehabilitation consultant, a junior doctor, neuropsychologists, speech and language therapists, physiotherapists, specialist nurses, and rehabilitation assistants. Specialist nurses at the centre are able to provide care to those with ongoing neurological nursing needs including respiratory and tracheostomy care, diabetes, epilepsy, wound management, stoma care, enteral feeding, and management of long term intravenous access points.

The team at Hunters Moor take a person-centred, evidence approach, and work with individuals and their families to set goals regarding their physical progress, function, and future independence, and equip them with valuable skills to return home or to a supported environment.
