Freedom Vision - Watford

I have had both cataracts done on 2 occasions and found the experience excellent in every way. Everyone was very professional and friendly. Every step was explained clearly and a big shout out to Iana who was so supportive and helpful at all times.

I was so pleased with the whole experience at Freedom Vision, Watford. From the start I was treated with care and courtesy by everyone, had all the options explained to me, and never felt rushed into anything. The clinical care was outstanding, with pre-operative tests and consultations, 2 appointments with the consultant Mr Parmar to discuss the right lens for me and 2 follow ups to check all was well after the surgery. Iane was a wonderful point of contact and reassurance throughout. The clinic is absolutely spotless. I am delighted with my new EMV lens, which has given me such clear, sharp vision, and will definitely return in the near future to get my other eye done. Thank you so much, to all at FV Watford.

An excellent experience at Spa Medica / Freedom Vision Watford. Initially I was seen by Spa Medica as an NHS patient and I asked about the costs and benefit of going privately (called Freedom Vision). It is exactly the same facility and, for me, the only difference is a greater option on premium lenses, and that the surgeon would be Mr Fakhimi rather than someone from the team. I decided to go privately mainly because of the premium lens choice. I chose a brand new lens design called Raynor Galaxy and Iana was super in providing me with "hot off the press" data about its performance, given how new the lens actually is. I was very nervous before both left and right procedures which were 2 weeks apart. Mr Fakhimi and all the staff were super reassuring for the 10-15 minutes procedure. Subsequently I saw Ms Shah for 3 follow up checks, and my vision is fighter pilot grade at distance, and good at both intermediate and near - something the new lens gives. I'm typing this on my phone glasses free. I will be glasses free for near 100% activities, except for very rare long-duration reading. Thank you to everyone at Freedom Vision for a smooth process.

The experience was excellent from start to finish. The patient liaison was friendly and knowledgeable. The staff performing the scans were efficient and the optometrist consultation was very helpful and informative. The actual surgery experience was much less traumatic than I feared, in fact quite straightforward and relatively quick, and the surgeon was very reassuring.
