Introducing Five Lives, the brain health coach app that offers a comprehensive approach to assessing and enhancing cognitive wellbeing. Users can now access a dementia risk assessment, which predicts the likelihood of developing dementia over the next decade, presented as a Brain Health Score. Founded by Xavier and Sylvain, who come from a lineage of medical professionals and possess extensive experience in the tech industry, Five Lives is driven by a profound commitment to dementia prevention, a pressing health challenge of the 21st century.

The app is built upon rigorous scientific research, leveraging data from the UK Biobank study that tracked more than 300,000 individuals over a span of 15 years. It harnesses a bespoke machine learning (ML) algorithm to evaluate dementia risk, taking into account essential factors like demographics, health, and lifestyle. Following completion of a user-friendly questionnaire, individuals receive a Brain Health Score, which quantifies their risk of developing dementia within the next ten years on a scale of 1 to 100, with higher scores indicating a lower risk.

However, Five Lives goes beyond risk assessment. The app also provides cognitive tests across five domains and a lifestyle coaching program centred around five key pillars: physical activity, sleep, diet, stress and mood, and mental stimulation. With this holistic approach, users gain valuable insights and practical guidance to make informed decisions and optimise their lifestyles for the betterment of their cognitive health.
