Dr. Sho Cares is led by Dr. Itunu Johnson-Sogbetun, also known as Dr. Sho or Dr. Johnson, a seasoned General Practitioner (GP) with expertise in perimenopause, menopause, post-menopause, women’s health issues, and non-urgent medical concerns. Dr. Sho takes a holistic and culturally competent approach, drawing on her extensive medical background and her role as the lead for the Equality, Diversity & Inclusion strategy at the Royal College of General Practitioners.

The services at Dr. Sho Cares include:

• Comprehensive Female Health Screening: A thorough range of blood tests, cervical screening, breast ultrasound/mammogram (based on patient age), sexual health screening, and DEXA bone density scans.
• Menstrual and Hormonal Disorders: Management of menstrual irregularities, PMS, PMDD, menopause symptoms, and PCOS.
• Pelvic Conditions: Non-surgical treatment for chronic pelvic pain, endometriosis, adenomyosis, and fibroids.
• Sexual Health: Screening for sexual health conditions and pelvic inflammatory disease.
• Vulval and Vaginal Issues: Treatment for conditions such as vulval eczema, lichen sclerosis, thrush, bacterial vaginosis, and vaginal prolapse.
• Urinary Issues: Including UTIs and urinary incontinence.
• Nutritional and Metabolic Disorders: Management of iron deficiency anemia, vitamin D deficiency, and underactive thyroid disorders.

At Dr. Sho Cares, the emphasis is on fostering lasting relationships with patients, built on trust, empathy, and a commitment to improving overall well-being. Referrals to appropriate specialists can also be made if additional treatment or investigation is necessary.
