Bethany Lodge

Bethany Lodge, Kent, is licensed with The National Care Standard Commission and specialises in supporting young adults living with a disability. The care home supports those with a range of conditions including brain injury, spinal injury, epilepsy, neurological conditions, Huntington's disease, degenerative illnesses, as well as other complex needs.

The lodge, which opened in 1992, is purpose-built with ground-floor accommodation. There are 24 single occupancy bedrooms, and the showers and toilets are wheelchair accessible. Aids and equipment are also available to suit the needs of people who are highly dependant, and wheelchair accessible cars are available for client trips and appointments. Bethany Lodge offers in-house entertainment, including music sessions and external entertainers.

Training and development for employees at Bethany Lodge is a top priority. They are dedicated to providing a learning environment for all staff and are recognised by Investors In People (IIP). It is ensured that TOPPS standards are instilled in new care personnel, and both new and existing staff are encouraged to work towards an NVQ II or III in Health and Social Care.
