I’ve done dieting in the past, put myself through what I believed was calorie deficit and lost weight almost immediately, it was great but over the years it piled back on. Although the weight on the scale made me happy, I still wasn’t happy with how I looked, my strength or stamina. Over the last two years without realising, I was at my heaviest and wanted to make a lifestyle change. Everytime he came to see how I was progressing, still in hospital, post op, he listen intently to how I was feeling, not just physically but mentally as well and showed me so much compassion, love and care, even on Christmas morning the Prof came in to see how I was doing, he didn't need to, when many had finished work for the holiday. Last autumn, I had my third procedure (over five years) with Miss Pissanou, and in my view, I could be in no better hands. Miss Pissanou is an expert in her field and her bedside manner is exceptional--warm and personable. She also engages you by taking the time to explain her thinking and recommendations. In general, her standards are very high, and she has my complete confidence. She will always be the person to whom I go to first for relevant medical needs, and I will continue to refer others to her.
