From the Moment I met Prof Patel at our first consultation, I knew I was in excellent hands. He explained the surgery that I required (whipple) in great detail and answered the questions that myself and my Wife had with great care and compassion and really made me feel a lot happier and comfortable as to what I should expect over the coming months. In hospital, the Prof once again demonstrated to me his passion for, just being one of the best at what he does. Everytime he came to see how I was progressing, still in hospital, post op, he listen intently to how I was feeling, not just physically but mentally as well and showed me so much compassion, love and care, even on Christmas morning the Prof came in to see how I was doing, he didn't need to, when many had finished work for the holiday. The excellence, extraordinary level of skill and profound human qualities of Mr. Imber manifest for me from the moment that I first met him at his office following a terrifying 6-week diagnostic journey. Together with my wife and son, he took the time needed to carefully explain his assessment of my case and the forward treatment alternatives. We elected that I should undergo a complex surgery with a lengthy recovery time after he laid out the alternatives, the relative risks and his forward recommendation. The surgical procedure was executed flawlessly and his authentic care and concern in following up with me is deeply appreciated both by myself and my family - thank you!

I find Dr Pericleous to be friendly and kind when first meeting, and then very good at explaining what is going on medically so that I can make sensible choices about my treatment and care when needed.

Professor Frampton explained everything thoroughly and in a way easy to understand for someone without medical knowledge. He listened to concerns and reassured throughout the process and answered all my questions promptly and clearly. His care on the day of my procedure was exceptional, both before, during and after, and he also took time to talk to my husband and keep him fully updated on how things had gone. This was especially appreciated as the procedure had been more challenging than anticipated. Following my operation, I was very pleasantly surprised to receive a call at home the next day from Professor Frampton to check on how I was doing and when I had some concerns during my recovery the following week, he called me again late at night for advice and reassurance.

Last autumn, I had my third procedure (over five years) with Miss Pissanou, and in my view, I could be in no better hands. Miss Pissanou is an expert in her field and her bedside manner is exceptional--warm and personable. She also engages you by taking the time to explain her thinking and recommendations. In general, her standards are very high, and she has my complete confidence. She will always be the person to whom I go to first for relevant medical needs, and I will continue to refer others to her.
