Early morning admittance receptionist was a bit spikey but otherwise it was a great experience, shout out to nurse Haille, fab aneathetist and everyone who made me feel better. Well organised, top place 👏

Pleasant, relaxing environment. Friendly and welcoming reception staff. Seen very promptly. Lovely consultant, appointment was not rushed. Consultant listened carefully to the answers to his questions to both myself and my wife - engaging us both thoroughly throughout the consultation, making what could have been a rather stressful experience as comfortable as possible. Appraised our views and evidence, recording on laptop as we conversed. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Priory's organisation seemed to be very good. The initial screening call seemed abrupt at the time and very clinical, but the staff member seemed knowledgeable and matched me with a great clinician. I had Kira as my clinician - from the very first session she created a very safe, welcoming space, explained very clearly the path forward we would take and maintained very clear communication throughout all my sessions. I had never tried or even heard of EMDR and she explained it in a way that was very easy to understand and also the reason behind each of the steps and actions. She was very kind, knowledgeable and I felt that the priority was my health above all.

Everyone was very helpful and professional and almost all of the staff were very friendly and kind. The catering was excellent and the quality of food was superb.

This was my second time in an establishment like this. Chestnuts was by far the better of the two. Its idyllic location in the countryside was an important part of my recovery. The staff at all level were amazing and made us feel at ease whilst going through treatment.

HCA ancillary staff were excellent and friendly, putting me at ease. The one exception is that despite being fully covered by private medical insurance (incl pre-authorisation codes and competing multiple online forms and confirming details) the HCA administrative/ reception staff on arrival were overly focused on (and their primary priority is to) obtain credit card details and associated authorisation for extra procedures and tests which go beyond the scope of the referral and pre-authorisation in case suggested. The requested authorisation is open-ended and requested at a point when patients are vulnerable. The HCA admin staff were unable to explain why authorisation was required in my circumstances with full insurance coverage - all they could manage was a weak “it’s just our process”.

Very professional and caring environment. Pleasant waiting room. Only comment is that on every visit, the water dispenser in the waiting room has been empty so there was nothing to drink!

Overall speaking, it’s a good place to visit when you seek private healthcare.
