After a warning from the neurosurgeon & oncologist who had been monitoring the regrowth of my meningioma in September 2023 that it required surgery & as it was a second operation it was at high risk of stroke, bleeding, bone infection, going through old scar tissue, the tumour was pressing against a large vein. My daughter suggested I sought a second opinion, we chose Mr Shoakazemi who also specialises in my type of brain tumour.  He confirmed…the risks were very high indeed, the brain tumour had grown too big for fractionated radiotherapy and surgery through the old wound of some 20 + years ago was the only option. We found Mr Shoakazemi to be extremely approachable, professional, calm, warm & informative.  I feel incredibly lucky to have had the faith on a date said to be the unluckiest day in the yearly calendar …Friday 13th October to undergo surgery with such a gifted neurosurgeon. I am (thankfully to Mr Shoakazemi) walking straight, talking straight & feeling fully blessed.

It was a very scary time for me and my husband but from the moment we met Dr Vaqas we felt reassured. He always explained everything so clearly and calmly and never made us feel rushed, answering all our many questions! We had every faith in him and knew we were in good hands! We would like to thank him for all he has done.

Dr. Chitnavis is truly the doctor's hands you want to place yourself into. I have never experienced a doctor with such an attentive nature, kind, professional, warm, detail oriented, and thorough doctor. He was incredibly re-assuring, and had the bedside manner that was above and beyond. He should be teaching a course in this as the gold standard. I'm incredibly thankful for his care, and continued due diligence.
