I am 6 months on from a hip resurfacing with Mr Grogan and the outcome is unbelievable. I've made a practically full return to the sports I love, running, cycling, 5 aside and even skiing, with no pain at all. Mr Grogan was first rate throughout, from the initial consultations around diagnosis and options, to the surgery and then the post op advice. Paul is a genius! Complicated procedure required to repair ruptured adductor and he had some reservations about going ahead with the surgery (risk / reward balance etc) but it was a complete success and I’ve been amazed at the result - to the extent I forget I ever had the injury. Paul even found time to repair my knee on the other leg during my recuperation and both legs now in brilliant shape and I’ve been able to return to all sporting activities as before. Paul showed massive amounts of patience with me throughout and is hugely knowledgeable and experienced. I’d recommend Paul to anybody

My overall experience was excellent . The explanations of the procedure at the initial consultation were clear and easily understood.The procedure itself was a great success .I left the hospital after 48 hours with one crutch and no pain .I was walking without any support 2 days later . The 2 follow up meetings after 1 and 3 months were thorough and confirmed the success of the procedure .

Had a full right hip replacement at age 50 in January 2024 after being diagnosed with AVN of the femoral head a couple years prior. Was told to get on with my life in 2021 and come back when it was bad enough and so I tried to push off as wasn’t keen to go through the hassle or pain . 4 months post op I am very happy with the results and have only positive things to say about Professor Field, his anaesthetist Dr Hussein and Zoe who runs the office super efficiently . Can honestly say pain post op wasn’t bad and didn’t need pain killers within a few days after the op . Was up on crutches same day as the op. Did feel tired and a bit under the weather at times first 3-4 weeks but could do everything bar put a sock on ! Professor Field never rushed me in appointments and always tried to explain everything in details , I would definitely recommend him and his team .
