My overall rating for Mr Rao is excellent, this is evidenced based on my own personal experience not only currently but with historic leg/knee issues I have suffered. Mr Rao takes time to fully diagnose, carefully explaining the symptoms/problems and proposing a full prognosis. He consistently displays characteristics of knowledge and professionalism that you would expect of a orthopaedic consultant at the top of his game.

Mr Webb’s PA Robyn was fantastic as her communication whether by email or phone was excellent. Mr Webb himself was friendly and reassuring about the operation I needed. The operation itself has been totally successful as I have had no pain at all and immediately can do things I wasn’t able to do before due to the pain I was in. Within two weeks following my knee operation I am walking without crutches and back to walking my dog. Amazing!

I wanted to discuss the possibility or desirability of a hip replacement, given that I have arthritis, and genuinely had no preference regarding whether to have the operation or not. He examined my mobility, discussed the situation with me, the pros and cons of operating or not, and concluded that I should continue with physiotherapy and not undergo the operation. Throughout the conversation, he came over as thoroughly professional, caring, and in command of his area of expertise. He gave me confidence in his decision.

Reassuringly competent

My overall experience was excellent . The explanations of the procedure at the initial consultation were clear and easily understood.The procedure itself was a great success .I left the hospital after 48 hours with one crutch and no pain .I was walking without any support 2 days later . The 2 follow up meetings after 1 and 3 months were thorough and confirmed the success of the procedure .

I was in extreme pain with my right hip, as well as experiencing chronic pain with severe scoliosis. After my initial appointment, Mr. Latham decided to use the Optimal Positioning System for surgery, which planned my Total Hip Replacement Surgery based on a 3-D printed jig model. Mr Latham also managed to level-up my pelvis, enabling an improved postural result. All the risks and positives of surgery were clearly explained, and all queries were responded to promptly by Mr. Latham, whose professional, considerate manner throughout, has given me confidence and re-assurance.
