Staff were lovely and helpful, and premises were comfortable. Our consultant is wonderful, professional, and thorough. I would certainly return to receive treatment from the medical team. Unfortunately we waited almost 5 hours for an injection of anti-d as I'm rhesus negative, so our discharge was significantly delayed. Staff in the Lindo wing seemed to try quite hard to accelerate the process and chased the transfusion dept several times, but it led to us spending 8 hours in hospital for a 30 minute procedure which was unfortunate.

The operation on my left wrist had to be delayed by a few hours because a previous patient had overrun but the hospital ensured that this was not much of an inconvenience to me. Nursing and care and all staff of a very high standard.

HCA ancillary staff were excellent and friendly, putting me at ease. The one exception is that despite being fully covered by private medical insurance (incl pre-authorisation codes and competing multiple online forms and confirming details) the HCA administrative/ reception staff on arrival were overly focused on (and their primary priority is to) obtain credit card details and associated authorisation for extra procedures and tests which go beyond the scope of the referral and pre-authorisation in case suggested. The requested authorisation is open-ended and requested at a point when patients are vulnerable. The HCA admin staff were unable to explain why authorisation was required in my circumstances with full insurance coverage - all they could manage was a weak “it’s just our process”.

Always a good experience at HCA and the Wellington Hospital. Staff very professional and friendly. Facilities are clean and comfortable.

I was seen by Dr Oliver Bernath a neurologist at the hospital who was really nice he observed my son and gave us a diagnosis which actually took a load of weight off me, and gave me good reassurance and advised me for what to do and how my son to recover. I am really thankful for the quick response from the hospital and the staff.
