Are you Thomas Dekkers?
Thomas Dekkers is a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist and Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist with over 15 years of experience in musculoskeletal and sports medicine. His extensive clinical background spans the NHS, private practice, and professional sports, including years as a spinal specialist physiotherapist on London's Harley Street. Thomas has worked with Olympic athletes at the English Institute of Sport and numerous professionals in soccer, rugby, boxing, and GAA.
Thomas holds a first-class degree in Physiology from University College Cork, a Master’s in Physiotherapy from the University of East Anglia, and a Master’s in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy from the University of Queensland. Currently, he is completing a Ph.D. at Technological University Dublin, focusing on athlete rehabilitation for back pain. He teaches spinal rehabilitation and athletic back pain internationally, and his work has been published in peer-reviewed journals.
At Bespoke Physiotherapy, Thomas consults one day a week, reviewing complex musculoskeletal and sports injuries. His special areas of interest include neck, back, and thoracic pain, chronic pain, complex conditions, and post-surgical rehabilitation, with a passion for using exercise medicine to help patients recover and improve their physical health.
His past roles include working at Evolve Health Clinic, Cork GAA, and the English Institute of Sport.
