Dr Vinod Kumar

Dr Vinod Kumar is a specialist in internal medicine at Prime Hospital, where has worked for the past 12 years. He has over 16 years of experience in the field and specialises in the management of infectious diseases, acute febrile illnesses, the management of diabetes and its related complications, the management of hypertension, and guidance on travel vaccinations. He also provides guidance to prevent diabetes and obesity including dietary advice and lifestyle modifications and to prevent hypertension and its complications.

He gained his medical qualifications from Gandhi Medical College in India in 1991 before obtaining a diploma in child health from Niloufer Hospital, one of the largest children's hospitals in India in 1994. He went on to complete an MD in Internal Medicine at Gandhi Medical College where he trained in a number of specialties including Cardiology, Neurology, Gastroenterology, Nephrology and Infectious Diseases. He completed his thesis in nephrology titled, "Clinical and Histopathological Study of Adult Nephrotic Syndrome".

He later joined one of the biggest super speciality hospitals in Hyderad where he gained expertise in treating all kinds of cases related to internal medicine before moving to the UAE and joining Prime Medical Center 2005. In 2015, he completed a postgraduate Diploma in Diabetology at Cardiff University and a Diploma in Endocrinology the following year.
