Dr Vaidehi Shah is a Specialist Obstetrician & Gynaecologist at Prime Hospital. After her primary medical training she pursued postgraduate studies in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and then went on to undertake a Fellowship in minimal access surgery. Dr Shah was the youngest and the first woman to qualify as a Robotic Gynaecological Surgeon in India, she is highly regarded for her skills. Furthermore, she was one of the youngest Fellows of the International College of Robotic Surgeons, and has won an award for her work in Ultrasonography in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
Dr Shah has worked as the Head of Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at a government hospital in Gujarat, where she also served as a faculty member and thesis advisor for postgraduate students in these fields. She is a certified Skilled Birth Trainer and has imparted SBA training to many doctors, interns, nurses and other paramedical staff. She has a unique teaching style which makes difficult topics much simpler to understand, and her students always feel supported thanks to her approachable nature. In addition, she is the chief editor of the book "Comprehensive Review of Obstetrics and Gynaecology".
Dr Shah has participated actively in many workshops on topics such as cosmetic gynaecology, legal medicine, high-risk pregnancy, maternal and foetal medicine. She has also presented papers, researches and case presentations at various conferences in India and abroad. Dr Shah is passionate about her work and continues to spread her knowledge and expertise in the field.
