Dr Sunitha Shaji Mathew is a Specialist Prosthodontist with over a decade of experience, currently seeing patients at NMC Specialty Hospital Al Nahda in Dubai. She completed her Bachelor's degree in Dentistry at Bangalore University, India in 2000 and also holds a Master's degree in Prosthodontics from the same university. In 2012, Dr Mathew completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Advanced Oral Implantology at Manipal University, India.

Before moving to the UAE and joining NMC, Dr Mathew practiced at the renowned St Gregorios Dental College in Kerala, India for 3 years. During this time, she also practiced as a visiting consultant in several clinics in the same area. Dr Mathew has specialist expertise in all areas of prosthodontics and is well trained in both general dentistry and cosmetic dentistry. Her areas of expertise include: implanting prostheses for both partial and complete missing teeth, partial and complete dentures, ceramic and composite veneers, smile design, full mouth rehabilitation and teeth whitening. She also has expertise in maxillofacial prosthesis and restoring fractured teeth, as well as general dental services such as scale & polish, fillings and tooth extraction.

Alongside her dental work, Dr Mathew has published her work in high impact journals and has presented her work in both India and the UAE. She also appears regularly in the media promoting dental awareness conferences and programmes.
